Stone fireplace in living room with fire inside

Holiday Home Ready

With Halloween right around the corner, we are almost in full Holiday swing! Celebrations have become more normalized and we’re ready to open our homes up to friends and family to gather for the holiday season once again. Here are a few quick tips for getting your home ready to host this holiday season!

Mantel Focus
The fireplace is a big focal point during the holidays. You’ll want to make sure it’s been properly cleaned and serviced if needed before you entertain guests. Maybe you might also want to change up the look of your mantel? Fireplace mantels have changed in style over the years, and there is no reason why you can’t change the look of yours! Some opt for more ornate and intricate mantels while others go for a more modern look. We recently helped our client refresh their fireplace, pictured above. You can absolutely change the style and overall feel of the room.

Fresh Coat of Paint
Freshening up your current color or making a change to something new will not only create the picture-perfect backdrop for all your family photos but will also be a fun talking point as your guests take in the new look of your home! This can be easily achieved just by choosing rooms guests will be in most, which is often the living and dining areas and of course, the kitchen!

Kitchen Chic
Every host knows no matter how hard you try; your guests always wind up gathering in the kitchen. So let it shine this holiday season! Replacing older appliances, new hardware for cabinets, and a coat of paint on walls and ceilings are great ways to freshen things up! If you are looking to go a little more in-depth you can paint your cabinets, change your island color or opt for new countertops for a fresh look!
